The Rhythm Room Diploma in Sound Facilitation is a three-level accredited training programme for anyone who wants to use sound as a therapeutic and facilitative tool. Accredited with Yoga Alliance and IPHM, the diploma takes you from the foundational principles of sound healing right through to advanced gong work, intuitive facilitation, and a deeply Irish approach to sound that draws on the tradition of the land. What sets this diploma apart is its inclusion of Celtic instruments — a unique element that connects your practice to the rich musical heritage of Ireland and gives you a distinctive, grounded sound identity that no other course in the country offers. Whether you're an existing practitioner looking to expand your skills or stepping into healing work for the first time, this diploma will give you the knowledge, the practice, and the confidence to facilitate sound experiences that genuinely transform people.

Introduction to Sound Healing: A Weekend Workshop
Whether you’re completely new to sound healing or have already started experimenting, this module offers a supportive environment to build confidence and connect with others on the same path.
Learn how to hold and play Tibetan bowls with proper posture and technique so you can create beautiful, steady tones. We’ll explore different ways to use them in sessions to support relaxation and deep listening.
We’ll look at both the ancient roots and modern science behind sound, frequency, and vibration — how sound impacts the nervous system, shifts brainwave states, and supports emotional and energetic release.
You’ll get to try out a variety of instruments such as crystal bowls, tuning forks, chimes, gongs, and more. We’ll explore how each one works and how they can be used in both group and one-to-one settings.
Sound naturally breaks down barriers. Together, we’ll explore how to use it to create connection, build trust, and make people feel safe and seen — especially in group work.
Discover how rhythm and vocal play can help people feel at ease, open up, and engage more fully — perfect for retreats, workshops, or any group experience.
I’ll guide you through playful, creative sound-based games that are fun and simple to use in your own sessions. These are great for encouraging presence, interaction, and group flow.
We’ll explore easy ways to use rhythm and voice for grounding, activating energy, or guiding a group’s focus — no musical experience needed.
If you have any instruments, please bring them along :-)

Learn to use both weighted and unweighted tuning forks on and around the body. Discover how different frequencies interact with the nervous system, meridians, and energy centres, and how to combine them for grounding or upliftment.
Explore the luminous tones of crystal bowls and how to use them for cleansing, harmonising, and deep meditative work. Learn practical techniques for layering and sequencing bowls to create resonance, flow, and emotional release.
Deepen your ability to listen and feel sound. We’ll explore overtones, octaves, and blending instruments to create harmonic soundscapes. You’ll learn how to play in balance — combining bowls, chimes, and tuning forks in ways that feel cohesive and soothing.
Take part in and observe mini sound healing sessions. Gain experience in session flow, intuitive listening, and aftercare, with reflective group feedback to build your confidence and clarity as a practitioner.

Gongs, Case Studies & Channelling from Nature
In this final foundational module, we bring together everything you’ve learned — expanding into gong practice, advanced facilitation, and deep listening to the natural world.
Through continuing case studies, reflective discussion, and immersive sound journeys, you’ll refine your confidence as a practitioner and explore how to let sound arise from intuition, nature, and presence.
We’ll also draw inspiration from traditional Irish musicians and composers who spoke of tunes coming through the land — music that carried the essence of place, story, and spirit. This weekend invites you to reconnect with that same creative source, allowing the sounds of your surroundings to inform and inspire your practice.
Learn to play the gong safely and confidently — exploring rhythm, dynamics, and the art of sustaining powerful, immersive sound. Discover how gongs can support deep release, transformation, and energetic realignment in both individual and group settings.
We’ll build on the practical case study framework from Module Two, deepening your understanding of session flow, intuitive response, and post-session integration. You’ll both facilitate and receive, with group reflection to strengthen your awareness and skill.
Through guided listening walks and outdoor sound work (weather permitting), you’ll learn to attune to the natural rhythms and frequencies around you — trees, wind, water, birdsong — and to translate that connection into your sound practice.
We’ll explore creative exercises that open pathways for spontaneous sound-making and intuitive composition, allowing your practice to be guided by the spirit of the land.
Learn about Irish musicians who described their melodies as being received from the landscape — from fairy forts, wells, and ancient sites — and how this echoes the deep listening at the heart of sound healing today.
Through meditation, group improvisation, and reflection, you’ll bring together your learning from all three modules — stepping into your unique sound healing voice, grounded in presence, nature, and heart.
